We all know e-Learning, sometimes also known as "self paced learning". You find it on websites, on youTube and in Podcasts. I call it the "old way" of e-Learning and I believe it's a dying breed. Why?
- no pacemaker
- lack of discipline
- short attention span
One of my new paid classes at eduFire is a class about web development:
Web Development - HTML. It is the first class in a planned series of web development classes. This first part will tell you how to get a free web hosting account to test your first web site, how to create your first web page in HTML with a simple text editor and how to design and format this web page using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).

Gimp - Using free software to edit your photos Will tell you in 4 sessions how to retouch your photos, how to create seamless textures, how to isolate objects on a photo using the path tool and how to use layers in Gimp.

Gimp is a popular Open Source image processing software. I'ts features can be compared to commercial programs like Photoshop® or Corel Photopaint®. Gimp is free software so you can download and use it without cost. This class will show you how to download and install Gimp on your computer (it runs on Windows, Macintosh or Linux) and how to start and use it.
Using Gimp is a bit different from other programs you may know, but if you get the hang on it, it will be easy to use it. Gimp can be used to edit your photos or create images and graphics from scratch. In this class we will just edit an existing photo (you will get an example photo during the class) and learn how to use the smudge tool from the gimp toolbox.
