I like this idea for advertising which comes from Intel to promote their new Intel processors. Between Dec. 20 and Dec. 31 2006 you can just upload your photo to the site and it will be shown for a few minutes on the Times Square video board.
You can also win a notebook with an intel processor, but I did it just for fun because the sweepstake is only valid for US residents.
Since I started listening to podcasts, I always wondered if you really could use it for education. Meanwhile I found a lot of interesting podcast feeds that can be used in this manner. I am not a native speaker of the English language, so I am listening to some ESL Podcasts. The most popular might be the “English as a second language” Podcast, produced by Dr. Lucy Tse and hosted by Dr. Jeff McQuillan (http://www.eslpod.com).

I became a skype addict. When I first installed skype years ago, I did not know to whom to talk because I had no contacts at all. After all, I used skype quite often during the last weeks because skype offered a new service: "Skypecasts preview".
